Review marketing is a strategic way to get more and better quality reviews on your Google My Business page to give you a better star rating, improve your online appearance, and boost local SEO.


The quality and quantity of reviews on Google is one of the most important ranking factors for local SEO. And, when a person scans the search results for a local product or service in Google, the business listings that include customer reviews present greater credibility and, naturally, receive more clicks. If your search result listing shows a 4.5-star rating with 18 reviews (and your competitor listings show less), that’s strong social proof that your product or service is trustworthy. Another fact to be conscious of is that, in today’s day and age, your clients will review your products or services whether you want it or not. Even if reviews are not posted to your site, there are numerous websites such as Yelp, Trip Advisor, and social media sites where reviews will appear. To maximize the effect of your reviews, and to maintain as much control over them as you can, prompting your customers to leave reviews about your company on your Google+ Local page should be your first priority.

One hesitation businesses have in soliciting online reviews is the fear of receiving a bad review. Our platform helps filter out less desirable reviews from showing on Google by sending review requests to your customers on completion of the job. Upon completion of the job you will:

  • Get the customers email if you do not already have it and send it to us.
  • Let them know you are sending them an email request to rate your work and review their experience.
  • We will send your customer an email (which will look as follows) for them to rate their experience.
  • When they click “Rate & Review Biondo Cement” they will be brought to the following page.
    • If the customer rates you 1-4, they will be sent to a review page for your business on where we can manage and respond to the reviews.
      • If the customer rates you 5, they will be redirected to your GMB (“Google My Business” as shown below) to leave a star rating and review.

        Not all customers check their emails and bad reviews can slip through the cracks. If this happens it is crucial to reply. Actively replying to bad reviews and looking to resolve a situation illustrates to your new potential customers that you care about your clients. A study actually found that showing an effort to resolve bad reviews can increase conversion by 67%.

        Regardless, our game plan is to filter out as many bad reviews as possible and flood your reviews with 5 star ratings so any bad reviews that happen to appear will have little to no effect to your overall rating.
